WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! This thread contains really naughty words. We're testing a theory that complaining in very very angry and foul terminology seems to make the server speed up.


Is anyone else experiencing this? It's been horrendously slow for me today (Wed - 3 Feb). I see folks are double posting too. That's usually a slow server issue. It was so slow earlier this afternoon that posting pages were timing out on me. If it keeps up, I'll alert Mr. H about it.

Yes, and not only is it slow, I have to log in repeatedly during the day, even after indicating that I would like to remain logged in. It's a pain in the patootie.

Here in Woolwich(pronounced Wool-itch) its like an arthritic slug burrowing through cold treacle, Eric.
Right now its Thursday night(and l just got paid)and all my email sites are fast and furious so its not the internet shop connection. Never mind, all good things are worth the wait.

Yep, it is very slow for me, too. I noticed a few days ago that it seemed a tad on the slow side, but today...well...it's been so slow that I've been thinking of taking a nap whilst waiting for a page to load.

Same problems here but a few page loads were fast. Loading the initial page (from a link) may have set a new personal record for amount of time waiting that succeeded rather than being timed out.

By the way, my workmate is a Jamaican fellow so if l lapse into some Rasta-speak simply ignore me.
I`m not really sure how much of it is repeatable....

zipping along A-OK here, but that at 512 kbps / 192 kbps speed is relative.
